Cerave moisturizing cream review

As a 35-year-old woman, I have always struggled with dry skin. It doesn’t matter what season it is or how much water I drink, my skin always seems to be parched and in need of some serious moisture. Over the years, I have tried a plethora of moisturizing creams, but none have quite lived up to the Cerave Moisturizing Cream.

I first heard about Cerave from my dermatologist, who recommended it to me as a great option for those with dry, sensitive skin. I was hesitant at first, as I had tried countless creams in the past with little success. However, I decided to give it a try and I have been using it for several months now.

One of the things I love about this cream is that it is fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, which makes it perfect for sensitive skin. I have always had issues with fragranced creams irritating my skin, so this was a big plus for me. I also appreciate that it is formulated with ceramides, which help to strengthen the skin’s barrier and prevent moisture loss.

The texture of the cream is thick and luxurious, but it absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a greasy or sticky residue. I find that it provides long-lasting hydration and helps to soothe any dry or irritated patches on my skin. I use it both morning and night, and I have noticed a significant improvement in the overall hydration and texture of my skin.

Another great thing about this cream is that it is affordable and easily accessible. I can find it at most drugstores and online, which is great because I don’t have to go out of my way to purchase it. I also appreciate that it comes in a variety of sizes, so I can purchase a smaller size for travel or keep a larger size at home.

In terms of packaging, the Cerave Moisturizing Cream comes in a simple, no-frills tub. While some may find this packaging to be a bit unexciting, I appreciate that it is practical and easy to use. The wide opening of the tub makes it easy to scoop out the cream, and I don’t have to worry about any of the product going to waste. Although, if you are as lazy as me and sometimes end up not closing the lid correctly, it might dry out the cream eventually and make it thicker. Also, the big open surface area of the tub makes it vulnerable to easy contamination and dirt if you put unclean hands inside.

I do have one experience of mine to share. Last year, I went back to my hometown during winters which has a extremely dry climate but is not nearly as cold. That was the only time that the cream stop being very effective. The cream has less moisture than its lotion counterpart. What happened was, after applying the cream, it would only be effective for an hour or so. And I also experienced some burning sensation on my skin. I ended purchasing a local Hyaluronic acid and ceramides cream which worked much better in thosse dry condition. But even though that other cream wa local, it was still more expensive than the tried and tested Cerave.

Another that may be a drawback for some is that the cream does contain parabens. While parabens have been a topic of controversy in recent years, they are still widely used in many beauty and skincare products. Personally, I am not too concerned about the presence of parabens in this cream, but I understand that others may have different opinions.

Overall, I am thoroughly impressed with the Cerave Moisturizing Cream. It has quickly become a staple in my skincare routine, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a simple yet effective moisturizer. Whether you have dry, oily, or combination skin, this cream is versatile enough to work for you. The affordable price point and easy accessibility make it a no-brainer for anyone in search of a reliable moisturizer.
